Rocky Mountaineer Railtours operates the Rocky Mountaineer from Vancouver, BC, to Kamloops where the train splits in two with one section continuing to Jasper, AB, and the other to Banff and Calgary, AB. The cars are heritage coaches for the Red Leaf service and Ultra Dome's for the Gold Leaf service. The train operates through some of the west's most breathtaking scenery and operates in daylight only with Kamloops as the overnight stop. The RMR advertises the train as "The Most Spectacular Train Trip in the World" and there is little, if any, facts that argues with that. The train traverses the Fraser and Thompson River Canyons as well as Rogers Pass and Kicking Horse Pass to mention a few scenic locations.
