Altamont
Commuter Express, ACE, operates three round trips between Stockton and
San Jose on weekdays. The trains consists of one or two F40PH-3C locomotives
and Bombardier commuter cars. The trains operate through the south bay
marshlands, scenic Niles Canyon and over Altamont Pass, a slow but very
nice ride that is punctuated by crossing the diamonds at Stockton.
