All photos on this website are copyrighted to the photographer, if you wish to use a photo from this website please ask first. This website is designed for a resolution of 1024x768 pixels or greater but works with 800x600 pixels too. Let me know if you have any comments or suggestions regarding this website or just a general question. I hope you enjoy the photos and return for more, I will try to update this website regularly as time and photo supply permit. You can view the photos either by selecting a company from the menu to the upper right or from the list of reporting marks to the right of this text. Information about the banners is available in the banner section. The reporting marks list does not necessarily show the current owner of a reporting mark, what it shows is the name of the original railroad, what the reporting mark stand for. The links will take you to the section of the present owners. There is also a section with desktop wallpapers available. I have contributed miscellaneous photos to RailPictures.Net and Brett Wirick's UP SD70M collection at Railroad Crossings. There are other websites with my photos on them as well but these are the big ones. What's in the future for this website? I plan to convert it to database format and add a search function to make it easier for visitors to find what they are looking for since it is getting more and more complex as the number of photos now exceeds 1,400. Using a database will also make it easier to update the site. I would also like to create sections for railfan hotspots around the continent but that project is put on hold for now, one of these days though... Who am I: So
who am I then? My name is Martin Oscarsson, I am 27 years old and live
in northern Sweden. I have always been a railfan and some years ago I
discovered North American trains, the Internet made it a lot easier to
find information and photos, I finally made a trip to the United States
and Canada in July and August 2000. I have since made it over the Atlantic
twice, in April 2002 and November 2002. I created this website so I could
share my photos with other railfans interested in North American railroading.
Equipment: My trusty
Canon EOS50 was replaced by a Canon D60 digital camera in early November
2002. I have three Canon EF lenses, 20-35mm, 28-80mm and 75-300mm. I use
an IBM Microdrive and a Compact Flash memory card to store the photos
on. I also own a couple of tripods and use Adobe Photoshop to edit the
photos.
The following are persons without whose help and friendship this website
would not exist. They are presented in alphabetical order. You all know
